I'm new to the boards, and new to the horse ownership world (but a 15 year horse care veteran, just purchased my first!!) Now my new horse partner is a 8 year old Thoroughbred. His owners don't know as much about him as I would like, as they only owned him for 6 mons and got him on a trade with no intention of keeping him. Now they say that his vaccines were all done in December (Core vaccines, plus strangles). However, they don't have his records. This makes me a little concerned. Am I right to be concerned? Whats the best way to proceed from here? They seem trust worthy enough, and the horse is well cared for and in good health.
Thanks for the advice!
