Valerian Root Liquid

Just wondering if anyone's ever used it. I am getting it for one of my horses (LONG story) and I am looking for personal experiences with it.

How much do you give an 800 lb horse? Also, do you give it to them only before working them/exposing them to a stressful situation or do they need it regularly in their feed?

I can't give you any advice with giving it to a horse, but my mother and I have used it on ourselves.
I used it when I flew over to Germany and was unable to sleep. So I took it before bed to relax and then I slept like a baby.
My mom takes it when she gets really stressed out.

The active ingredient of Quietex is valerian root. It works on some horses and has no effect on others. For most horses you'd give an entire tube 2 hrs before the time you need it. I'd read the instructions to make sure.

I am not getting a product with valerian as an additive. I am getting actual valerian root liquid.

I use it myself to sleep better, great stuff. Don't know how much a horse would get, but I do know it is given to them to calm them.
