Oye!!!! I'm telling you, when I got Tilly to pacify my want for a horse, it was an expensive move. Since getting her, I had the initial cost of buying her, and then the cost of her shots, AND the cost of hospital stays each time she goes in for shots. Also, her spaying was not cheap. All for a little 20lb dog.

LOL... Boots was the most expensive free dog I've ever had!!!!

Farm call around here is $45. God, I love Arkansas!!!

It cost me $160 for an after hours farm visit, mineral oil, & check for Dumas's colic and that also included getting coggins pulled for both horses while we had the vet handy.

Between my dog - who tried to die in December from some strange food allergy - and my horse - who tried to die about 2 weeks ago from complications from a virus that turned into colic - I don't even want to talk about how much I have had to pay the vet lately.

And, both of them are still needing medication and special food, so the bills still keep coming.

We were actually just talking about getting insurance for our animals just before this happened. What are the chances???

I hear ya!!!! I spread my stuff out so I can afford to do both of mine. Coggins this month, shots/teeth next month. I still can't belive how expensive every thing has gotten. Luckally i'm at a large barn and we split the vet call among boarders so its not to bad.
