Vet Techs ???

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, hopefully it is though.

I was wondering if anyone had ever gone through a distance learning program to become a vet tech. I've been looking at Purdue and San Juan college. I'm hoping to get an associates and then get certified in Equines.


Has anyone been through this and know of any tips? Good online schools? There aren't any campuses nearby so I need to do it as a distance student.

Hi, the one place I would start with is your state licensing department. Because if you would want to get certified (some places will only hire certified & sometimes money is better being certified) you would need to go to the state to take the test and usually they have there list of approved schools. I think you can also find info on line with your state. My vet had told me his mom took an on line school course for vet tech and learned alot. I had thought about doing it a couple times myself, just so I can get out of doing parts for diesel trucks. Well I sure hopes this will help.
