I wouldn't mess with it too much until you get the vet to look at it. If it is some sort of mass, messing with it can trigger it to grow/change more aggressively.

Just watch it and note any changes that you see/feel.

Thank you so much Ryle I checked her this morning and it seems to have gone done some. I'll have the vet take a look to be sure

Its almost gone, thanks for asking I couldn't get the vet out till next week so thats a good thing. If it was still the same or bigger I would have hauled her to his office anyway.
I do believe you were right, that it was a kick. It was more on a muscle then any internal organs. I do freak out when something is wrong with my girl

A hematoma from a kick isn't unusual, but just last week my horse had two large lumps, one on his left hind and one between his two front legs. I was in a panic. Multiple tumors! Cancerous masses! Turns out that he had picked up some ticks from our previous day's trail ride, and he got a few bad bites. Ugly reactions to those tiny things.

Funny, I'm the same way. I could have a lump in the middle of my stomach and I would ignore it. Its on my horse and I freak out

I held off on reading this thread because I've heard so much about vida and seen her videos and I was scared it was bad. I'm glad she's doing better......

Keep us posted Maureen. Glad it seems to be nothin'.
