Oh gosh. I read 'tag of skin hanging' and I was thinking you know maybe half an itch of skin maybe less hanging from her shoulder but wow. That's a nice size cut! I hope you're both okay. :/

Make sure you keep it clean, I'd hate to see a wound like that get infected.

Sounds like both of you need a bit of TLC and pampering.

Wow. I was just having some afternoon tea, and what do I see? A huge cut. LOL. I'm glad though that you'll both recover.

She's getting plenty of love... now that it's finally settled in, I'm feeling so guilty and upset with myself though...

Don't feel guilty. Everyone trips sometimes -- even horses -- and on a downhill, trip the wrong way and down you all go. You are looking after her so all will be well.

I hope so. I'm checking on her just about every hour until I go to bed... I just hope that she heals well with no complications...

Ok sorry but I have a question. So in the shoulder wound theres an indent is it because a rock was stuck in there?

I dunno. There was nothing in there once she got up and when I checked her over right after the fall... so maybe she hit a rock, but it didn't stick? I dunno.

Oh no!! I hope you both are alright! And I hope your horse feels fast. Don't blame your self these things just happen some times. I was out on a trail ride and was riding my friends mare and we were just walking along on a dirt road and she tripped, I caught her before she went all the way down but she still scraped her knee's a bit, I still feel pretty bad about it but I know it wasn't my falt and was a good thing I was paying attetion cause it could have been worse.

Wow those pictures were worse than anticipated! I'm so glad you're both still fully functioning!
And please don't blame yourself, there will always be things that are out of your control, especially concerning horses!
