Weird growth - any ideas??

One of my FB friends found this today on her Arabian gelding.
Any idea on what it is? Not painful, he's not lame - just this odd growth.

It could be anything...
Big wart
Polyp
Benign growth (I'm not going to say the other word!)

I haven't a clue!

It certainly could be a sarcoid. Did it start out as just a flat, brown scruffy looking place? If so, it is a sarcoid that 'woke up' and is now growing.
smrobs and natisha like this.

Almost looks like a scab with hair matted in it. Hard to tell...

Or, yeah, what Cherie said.

I guess I should say, this originally was covered under the hair - it's been clipped.
I have no idea if it started out flat or not - she just said she found it grooming him post ride.
Never thought of a Sarcoid!
