The closer we got the worse it looked.. I figured out it was Angie. Her leg was swollen and she was just standing there.
I called my boss and told her what I saw. She said that she would call the vet and have him come out the very next morning.ASAP. And that she was on her way home at 9am after the call.
I gave her some bute hoping for the best, but of course knowing it wasn't good. She couldn't even move that leg.. just dragged it along as I moved her away into a different pen away from the herd..
Today, I went there before the vet and realized she looked even more swollen.. I just pet her and rubbed her where she looked sore. And loved all over her.. until the vet came I really was hoping for the best..
As soon as the vet touched her leg and moved it around, he said, she's broken it right below her shoulder. We are not sure how she broke it but she did. They think she had a hairline fracture and then just worked up enough to break it.. It sucked, as soon as he told me I started to tear up even though I have only known Angie for 3 months.. and never rode her or spent that much time with her.
I had to walk away and plug my ears as the put Angie down. All I can think now is that she is in NO MORE pain and not hurting and gimping around anymore. It was for the best. Everything happens for a reason. RIP Angie<3
PSand sorry if this doesn't go here. Im not sure:/
