What is this? Funky tooth!

Hey!

I keep forgetting to take a picture of this, but I finally did!

This is a wierd tooth of my new horse's tooth. I don't know if it matters, but she is a 12 year old TB mare, and she was a racer. It does not seem to bother her AT ALL...

Have any of you ever seen this?

Thanks!

It looks like a cap (a baby tooth that never came out). Ask your vet or equine dentist about it the next time they come out to float her teeth and they may or may not recommend pulling it.

Yeah I agree with caps. They can be a problem and become infected etc, and it does look crowded by permanent tooth.
