What Is On My Horse's Eye? Help...

I'm a little bit worried. My mare has this...thing on her eye. It's been there for a few days, and we thought it was stye, but it's worrying me because it's not going away. I'm not sure, if it is a stye, how long they stay. You'll notice in the picture her eyes are very red. She has allergies so her eyes are pretty much always bloodshot. Sorry for the low quality pics. I had to take them on my phone.

Does anybody have any clue what this is? She doesn't keep that eye closed or wink a lot with it, she just has that....thing.

Looks like the sclera is inflamed. It's probably best to get a vet out if it is getting progressively worse.

I thought it may be conjunctivitis. Does anyone think that may be a possibility? We're taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I was just trying to gather some thoughts about it tonight.

Should I flush the eye, or just leave it until tomorrow?

Easiest/best diagnosis, I would say is conjunctivitis, or allergies.... allergies can make the tissues swell.... but I'd be taking to the vet for just in case...

Worse case scenario..... my boss's 20+yr old TW has had a watery eye for years, last week it swelled up purulent (pus) drainage.. took to vet, he has a tumor in his eye... they are debating either scrape the tumor, or remove the eye unless there has been any metastasis.

She's on her way to the vet right now. I would go with but I have homework. =/ Hopefully allergies or conjunctivitis is all it is. She is literally JUST recovering from a super bad leg injury that required stitches and her off from barrel racing for three months. I think I'm going to have to wrap her in bubble wrap. Lol.
