Quest gel is my favorite. But I always switch the wormer every other month as recommend by the vets. I also use zimectrin gold, strongid, and panacur.

There is no such thing as favorite dewormer (not wormer BTW ). Each prevents from different range of worms.

I switch + do fecal count once/year. Zimmectin Gold is my favorite for tape worms.

I agree with Kitten that there is no one best deworming product.

I do fecal counts and deworm 2x per year, I use Quest Plus in the spring (when I can get it, not the case this year) (It kills less dung beetles so I am told) and Equimax in the fall.

I will not use Zimectrin Gold because my horse had a reaction to it. Equimax also has a higher amount of the active ingredient.

I tried this one once and they liked it (if it's even applicable to dewormers) the least: spat all over the place for like 30 mins. I have to check the ingredients though - I always thought those tape worms ones are the same in ingredients.

They are the same ingredients, just different quantities.

Equimax is 1.87% Ivermectin and 14.03% Praziquantel.
Zimectrin Gold is 1.55% Ivermectin and 7.75% Praziquantel.
