Question white hooves??

i went to pick my horses feet today and they were white, like her sole and frog and everything. i have never seen a horses feet so white any one know why they are like this? thanks :)

The soles shed so the new layer is nice & white for a while.

but its not like that though like its not pinky white is WHITE white, like grey white ir chalky white.

My horses have that at the moment, what there's is from is cause we haven't cleaned them out for a week (been away) and there poo gets stuck in the hoof causing the hoof to soak up all the moisture, also happens in wet weather, there hoof is overly soft and when you clean there hoof, you pull off there sole, not a good thing, but you need to clean it out and let the hoof dry. it'll be back to normal in no time. (:

ha ha thanks:) they are not soft though but her feet are really sestive to like gravel lately so maybe they are soft just not so soft i notice? ha ha but yea i was gone for a week too and now they are like that so that could be the reason

yeah, mine are literally soft, i mean you can't push it and it'll be squishy, but yeah, the horses are all a bit more sensitive with the rocks etc. but my ponies hooves are better now, in two days, just cleaned them out twice first day and once today, and there back to normal hoof/sole hahaha (:

So I found a site that might help it shows thrush and white line disease at the bottom see if that looks like what your horse has http://www.equinehoofpro.com/5.html
