Who has sweaty horses???

I do! Two of them! I am in Northern california and it is pretty hot this week. 95 today. Tonight I noticed both my pastured horses were sweaty on their necks a little ahead the withers and back some. Pretty sweaty too. My fatty was of course more wet, you could see the run pattern down toward leg, especially on the right side. But both were wet for sure. I just found it funny that they had identical sweat patterns. Ugh I hate summer! Supposed to be in the hundreds by the weekend.

We are just coming into winter, so I have a fluffy horse

When my boy get hot he likes to splash himself in his water, he will paw the water and splash it on himself. Its hilarious to watch

Talking to your horse is sometimes all the therapy you need.

Uh...me too, they are soaked, then in the evenings when they dry they have a white salt crust on them.

I DON'T LEAD 'EM AND FEED 'EM, I RIDE 'EM AND SLIDE 'EM.
