Wildey is sick :[

Dad saw him sitting down/laying down a lot about two days ago, and thought he was colicking so I went out after work via the vet and got some painkillers and antibiotics. We gave him two stubbies of beer and the jabs, but he didn’t improve and just looked really listless, with short bursts of being agitated… The vet (Jan) came out later and said it may be the first stages of pneumonia, which was making him colic, so she gave him another few jabs, we put a rug on him and I slept out there and checked him through the night. He looked better in the morning so Jan said to let him back out with the others and she would be back that arvo to give him another jab. Anyway he ended up getting bad again in the morning so Jan came out twice that day, more needles. She thought that maybe it could be a problem with his Kidneys, as he hadn’t weed and wasn’t drinking much. He was ok through that night. She came out this morning and tranq’ed him and checked him out, still not 100% sure what it is, so we have to take him to her house tonight to stay for a while so she can keep an eye on him/medicate him when needed…

It’s so sad! He just looks so unhappy, and he’s normally such a happy pony, never had anything wrong… My poor baby, I just want to know what’s wrong and fix it :[ And I just know that he won’t be happy away from Bundy and Pepper, but I know that he needs to be there for her to watch him. Gosh we’re lucky to have such a good vet!

Has she run any labwork? Is he running a fever? Is he deficating? Did she do a recatl exam?

He's defacating, and has now weed as well. So hopefully he's on the mend :[

Well he should be coming home today... Jan says that he has Kidney stones, so he is getting something in his feed to hopefully break them up. Poor bubba!

Ok, good news! Dad just spoke to Jan and she said that he is looking fine, and that she didn't need to medicate him over the weekend. We're picking him up this afternoon! Yay!
