Wish Nelson Luck!

Tomorrow Nelson is heading to our local Equine Lameness Specialist to get his annual check up.

His Hind Right Stifle has been acting up again, same signs as what was occuring last year. That "tripping" feeling in the back end, and of course I want a check up on that arthritus in his hind right Hock to see where it stands.

So we're going tomorrow, to get a full assessment done on him - probobly another set of Injections *he had a set last October* before we start our Eventing Season. I want to hear it from a Professional as to what Nelson can, and cannot do, and if we are still going to proceed forward with the origional plan, or if we need to take a new path to ensure Nelson's soundness, health and happiness.

The first HT of the season is on the 22nd of this month, and I haven't even registered yet, because I want to see where he stands. So my Coach/Trainer is taking us, he volunteered to take me, so that he can be there to see the xrays and the ultrasounds and to hear what the Vet has to say - so that he knows what plan of attack we need to do in aspects of our lessons and our competative season. I think that's wonderful of him!

So, send Nelson good vibes, and best wishes, please

Thanks Ladies!

I hope this visit goes as smooth as our last one went. I am nervous, because of the "what if's" - I try to do my absolute best for him. Conditioning, nutrition, corrective shoeing, chrio work, massage therapy, Adequan IM's and MSM, etc, etc, etc......but old age is old age.

I don't think it'll be bad, I dont feel anything horrible about his hind right, but it is apparent that there is weakness and arthritus. I love him dearly, so even if my Vet said no more Eventing, then we'd become obsessive dressage competators and Trail Riders :P
