wont eat grass

Since my mare started being a suragote mum she has stopped eating grass. Is that normal?

Does she put her head down to feed at all? Maybe she is being over protective by now wanting to put her head down to feed. That is one of the most vulnerable positions for a horse

Yeh she's feed suplements and a mix of alpha and sugerbeat.
She doesnt even put her head down the thing is she's not lossing weight or condition. Its just your average grass in the pasture

Accually laying down is the most vulnerable postion but I do agree with u
