Worming schedule for weanlings

I have a 5 month old Arabian weanling coming to live with me in south FL at the beginning of October. While the breeder has been great to work with for the most part I cannot get an answer from her about what he has been wormed for of even if he has been wormed at all. Since he is coming from IL I know that FL will present a whole new environment with different parasites and I want to make sure that I get him on a good deworming schedule. I will be having the vet out to see him once he is settled in but I want to make sure that I order the best wormer ahead of time...any suggestions?

Every area of the country is different in deworming needs, as well as the individual environment your colt is going to be living in (ex: stall, paddock, pasture).

Ask your vet what dewormer you should use and when.
