Would it hurt her?

In February my mare Demi got checked by a vet to see what is wrong with her leg, we have 2 possible ideas on what is wrong (My vet doesn't have an x-ray machine so we couldnt test her.)But she might either have Arthritis, or a slab fracture in her knee. We are all leaning towards arthritis. I am for sure going to get her retested (I found an equine vet with an x-ray machine) but for now do you think if I put her on Arthritis medication it would help her leg?

Hmmmm...... I don't really think it would do harm, but I would wait just to be sure. I'd hate for the meds to have some sort of side effects if she turned out not to have it. I wish you the best of luck! :]

Shouldn't hurt her at all. A good and inexpensive first step might be giving her MSM. It is an anti inflammatory. I give my 31 yr old this twice a day and it helps him. Also use it for my Shetland when he has difficulty with his heaves as a management tool. It helps and won't cause any diagnosis issues.

Hoover is on a preventative dose of Dumor Joint, which has glucosemine, condroitin, MSM, and ascorbic acid. He's been on it three years in October, and does just fine.
