My vet said I could do everything myself except rabies. But, I did not even think that I could order the vaccinations online, I just thought I would have to go through my vet so they would have a record. Thanks for the tip!

Mine all get Innovator 6 (WEE, VEE, EEE, flu, tetanus, & rhino), west nile & rabies.

I give all of my own except for rabies and have it done when vet pulls Coggins. I order online from Valley Vet, if you have friends that need vaccines as well, you can get 10 dose bottles and it will save a few bucks per shot.

I order everything on line and I shop for prices and date guarantees. Sometimes they try to ship you vaccines that aren't real fresh, so be sure they guarantee freshness. I've only been able to order the IN Strangles from one place, I think that was Country Vet, otherwise I usually order from Valley Vet. In OK I can give my own rabies shots to everything but dogs & cats, so I can buy rabies at my local tack shop. Check to see if you can give rabies to cows yourself (some states say it's ok for cows and so tack shops can carry it). If it is, there's no reason why you can't do that yourself too, unless your state requires your vet to certify that the horses were given the rabies shot, like he does with cats & dogs. If not and you can buy it for cattle......pfffffft!
