OP and others asking about vitamin A-

Here is a thread I made a while back to chronicle my experience with the vitamin A after it was suggested to me by Cherie and others. As you can see it did wonderful for Drifter. It also helped 2 other horse's at my barn. I would highly suggest you try it with your horse!! I also explain how to use it in that thread.

Thank-you every-one for your replies/ help. All my questions have been thouroughly answered. Will look for the vit. A doses (and apply it to his feed ^^) and will back down the dosage on the mare+ as soon as he clears up. Thanks again. Glad to know he's well on his way to recovery

Where exactly does one get vitamin A injectable to give orally? I'm not sure this is something I can buy OTC in Ontario Canada. It seems like something that would be regulated for us which is frustrating on its own.
No worries, help yourself to some info! The colored stuff is actually a anti-bacterial spray. Why it's colored, I don't know, but I know that it comes in several colors. I've seen it in blue, purple and red.
