Your opinion

About how much more do you think he needs to gain. The first 3 pictures is when we first got him (january) and the rest are the most recent i have. I have a different fat supplement on the way and vitamin/mineral supplement. On the weight tape he is about 1129 in the recent pictures. If i remember correctly when we got him he was about 1039 lbs.

He looks much better, but I'd still be trying to put more weight on him.

In the first pictures I was thinking a good 200 pounds. In the more recent ones, I was thinking 100. Then I scrolled back up and read what you wrote. Looks like he's already gained 100 pounds. So I still stand by another 100, which equals out to my original 200. LoL.

haha. well then i guess i have about another 5 months to go. Im hoping to have it all on by winter as i felt so bad. i didnt have enough blankets to keep him warm, i would feel under them even after putting him in the stall and would feel no heat.

He is looking a lot better, he is lucky to have you!! I agree, another 100lbs or so. What fat supplement do you use? I tried one with my horse but it didnt seem to do anything, grass coming in and more hay seemed to help the most.

Hes on grass from 7am-5pm then he gets about 18lbs of local grass hay. i tried cool calories and it did work but only along side alfalfa. So i am now looking into smartgain 4 by smartpak. looking to mi it with 3-4lbs soaked beet pulp. Should be here tomorrow. I have heard great things about it and i hope it will make up for the alfalfa.

when we first got him he was getting 4 lbs stratgey, 18lbs local grass, 12 lbs alfafa and cool calories 100. Looking to change it for the summer as i think with the grass and alfalfa it's blowing his feet out. So i am now looking at. 10 hours on pasture (they are out 24/7 but at night i put them in a relativly dry lot) he gets 18 lbs of grass hay. And will be added soon is 3-4lbs soaked beet pulp. His fat supplement and vit/min supplement. Here are the links to the two new supplements.
