Your thoughts on horse diving .....

I got a link on my FB to a story about horse diving

Its an old practice of entertainment though cruel I found it intersesting....
& assumed it was out dated .....

then I came across a newer vid
Your thoughts ...

AWWW. I thought Lightening was CUTE. I heard about Sonora - there was a movie about her. I don't remember what it's called though. I would consider this cruel if there was someone beating the horse to make them jump... The horse didn't seem hesitant to go in, did he? I couldn't tell

I'm so busy, I don't know if I've found a rope... or lost my horse...

I have no way of knowing if the horse was trained to do it through beatings and then not beaten at the events. I also have no way of knowing if the horses enjoy it. But when they dive from a great height it doesn't sit well with me.

i think the reaaally high jumping seems incredibly dangerous and painful, but the low jump seemed to be safe and lightening appeared to be alright with it. of course like alexs said, no way to tell forsure, that's just my opinion.

Something about it doesn't sit right with me, either. Lightning doesn't seem to be unhappy about it but.. I don't know.
