Bbb, how long did it take to show up? My dogs is a penny sized spot on his nose, nd it started as just a bump, then the bump got bigger and I thought it was a wart. I took him in nd they pulled the top layer off down to the skin and said it was ringworm. But it looks just like that pic with the little pin prick holes ad everything.

It looks lik esome type of parisitic infection. Have you figured it out yet?

I'd say about 24 hours. We noticed her the evening before itching a bit. We had just moved to FL so thought she got a sand flea and we looked her over and didn't see anything. Next morning she was acting just weird. Kept wanting to go into her crate and stuff. So when I fed her breakfast I reached down to touch her and she flipped on me. Hubby grabbed her really quick as it was so out of character and when he lifted her up I could see what I thought was a rash on her belly. I told him to toss her in the van we had to go. We couldn't really see what we were dealing with very well until they shaved her.

She had this all over her body in that short amount of time. So do watch it and if it looks like it's spreading or he's acting odd look for more of it. I don't *think* it just stays in one spot.

Always suggesting a vet =)
M advice would be to wash it with iodine shaampoo- If it is just a fungus It shoulsdie off with a couple of washes

Fir thay, I would cjeck with a vet. It sounds aggressive if it's spreading that much that fast, which could be very dangerous.

The closest thing I've seen to thay is a picket of micro-abscesses on my mom's dog. He had two bacterial infections that required two different antibiotics.

Keep us posted please.

Green Broke
It reminds me of an staph infection, but that could be secondary to the actual cause.
A vet really needs to look at it.

I'm seconding the others' suggestions to get a vet, pronto. I had a Pseudomonas infection in my mare's legs and used over-the-counter stuff and antibiotics prescribed by my vet (before he knew it was Pseudomonas). It turned out that the Pseudomonas was resistant to all antibiotics except 2 (2!!!) and was running rampant. We ended up having to start with IVs antibiotics. If we had cultured/biopsied first, we might have avoided some of that. Also, picking at it or rubbing it made it flare up and spread like wildfire. I would do as little of that as possibe.

In the end, we had a repeat flare-up and I used Vetericyn which knocked it in its tracks....but you need to use the Vetericyn soon, before you've got an infection that's resistant.
