The best job I've ever had was working at a rescue! I fell in love with one of the mare's there, and am happy to say that she has a permanent residence there and waits for me to return every summer! She was badly abused, but drop dead gorgeous. It was well worth all of the hard work! What is the best job any of y'all have ever had?
Still waiting for a "good" job. Every one I've had I have had to deal with whiny, entitled yuppies. I worked at a vet but it's in a big city and people would want to sue you if the vet accidently clipped a nail too short. So I'm still waiting for that "best" job. Mine would be where I could move around and not be chained to a desk, working outside, not have to be nice to people that are rude to me, and of course, work with horses.
I had a lot of fun working at summer camp. I got to ride and take care of the horses every single day and the kids were fun to work with (for the most part). I only made one of them cry, so I suppose I was a decent teacher  I wish I had gone back and worked there a couple more summers while I was in school, but I had boys and internships that I though were more important at the time.
I like what I'm doing now too though. I also have some horror stories I could tell you, like the dude ranch I worked at for all of a day and half.
I love working under my trainer now. The best part for me is putting the first rides on colts and doing all that groundwork, then watching her take over and then me getting to ride them again!
