Horse-related jobs in Alabama

At the moment I am a ripe age of 16 and since I have begun spending more time with my horse I have realized that there are just some things that if I want them done, I will have to do them myself so I have decided to start looking for a job. I was thinking about applying for a Hobby Lobby, but since that is still a few months away I thought that it would be best to look for a job I would be a lot happier with - aka working with horses. My horse is not boarded at a barn so I do not have that option which leads me to the question of asking how I could find barns in my area (There aren't many that I know of) or how I could find other ways to have an equine-related job?

What part of Alabama are you in? And what breed of horses are you familiar with?

Without having an idea of where you are, it is hard to help you with this.

Do you drive? Can you go off to shows with a string of horses? Are you responsible enough to sit with pets and horses?

What can you do? Do you know how to muck stalls, safely halter, understand that a trainer will want things done a certain way, and only a certain way? Do you mind getting dirty? Can you take tack apart to clean it and get it back correctly?

You can contact equine vets to see if they know someone that might need barn help? Can also check in Yellow Pages for barns too, and go see them.

Can see if there are any AL FB groups too.

Horses make me a better person.
