Unlike in many other South America Countries the ranches of the rupununi have not been cut out of the Amazon Rainforest but instead are located in a natural and beautiful tropical Savannah.
The Vaquero's of Guyana are at this moment at a turning point, they no longer can sell their meat to Brazil or the coastline of Guyana where 95% of the countries population lives. Their unique and traditional way of life is dissappearing and through these projects we hope to sustain this.
It is also a great place for seeing wildlife as for example Giant Ant eaters.
