Summer Internship in Colorado Wanted

I'm currently a Junior at Colorado State University majoring in Equine Science and I am in search of an equine related internship for summer located in Colorado. I am open to any option at this point. I would appreciate it if anyone had any good leads they were willing to share. Thanks!

What do you want to do? There are always tons of jobs in the mountains with dude strings. Sombrero is a big employer. The Fence Post usually has quite a few listings.

Forget Sombrero. If you want the dude experience look into The Home Ranch in Clark. I was up there years ago for a sale and the place is breathtaking. It's a very exclusive ($$) getaway. Scenery to die for, 100 head of geldings, cattle to work, staff is well fed by the inhouse chef and they used to host clinics with A clinicians throughout the summer.

Thanks! I've heard of Sombrero ranches. I'm not sure if I'm entirely interested in dude ranches but thanks for the suggestions! I'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet but possible choices might be something along the lines of reproduction, veterinary, equine management, or equine event management.

Check out yardandgroom.com. You can search by state.

Thanks. I've checked out that site. They don't have too much to offer for Colorado.

Try contacting trainers in your area that you like and see if you could work for them.
