Working Student Positions Available!

Hi all! My farm has two working student positions opening immediately. We are a boarding and training facility in Grant, FL. I am the head trainer and have extensive experience in cross discipline training. I am a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist and have trained my own horses from breaking all the way through the Grand Prix. I also have many years of show experience in equitation and eventing. Our farm is unique because we do a TON of turn out. Happy horses equal safer rides!!

The position duties consist of everything horse related!! We feed three times a day for some horses, twice a day for all. We have very few stalls to clean, as only a couple of horses remain stalled over night. So it is the usual rundown, though - Feed, turnouts, stalls, vet care if needed, grooming, riding if able, fetching horses for the farrier, more grooming, more riding if able...general clean up to keep the farm tidy and presentable, being nice and helpful to boarders and students...

Compensation comes via - Daily lessons with me unless I am away teaching a clinic or at a horse show (if I am gone, my assistant trainer will teach so you don't miss a lesson), coaching on training horses and consignment horses you are given to ride or warm up, shared living space in the 1400 square foot apartment on our barn, and either a small monthly stipend to help with your expenses or a reduction of board for a horse.

We have a covered arena and are right off the ocean on the intercoastal waterway so we always have a sea breeze!

Please pm me ASAP if you have any interest!

When would the working student position begin? This sounds like a wonderful job, but I don't finish school until May!
