i lost my best friend today

This is very hard for me to write right now
But I can't sleep and maybe this will make me feel better
I'm choking up as I write this now

I lost my best friend yesterday, comet split starlite
I am 22 years old, and he was 11 years old
We spent 10 beautiful years growing up together, learning from each other and loving each other
He was my life, the reason why I am who I am today
I always pictured myself be 50 years old and having him be 40 walking around in my back yard and having my kids love him as much I did
Our time together got cut way to short buddy, way to short this was never apart of the plan
I will be taking a break from horses for a while, but when I come back into the game I will be coming back hard for you comet
You can never be replaced, but I will try to remake you in your honor
Miss you so much buddy its unbelievable

So sorry to hear about your loss, he looks wonderful. Can't believe he was only 11 when he went.

My very deepest condolences. Many of us know what it's like to lose our special horse.

I know you're hurting right now, but please don't try to remake any other horse into Comet's image. It's not fair to either Comet or the new guy.

The beauty of horses is that each one has their own specialness, and when you're ready, one of them will call to your heart.

So sorry for your loss. One day, not too far away, you will be able to remember all the love you shared with a smile and those memories will turna bad day into a great one. Take your time and allow a new friend into your heart when you are ready.
