    My Baby Boy........Goodbye

This is a tribute to a long lost friend.

    Zane: 24th October 1983 - 26th May 2008

For 18 years we shared the highs, the lows, the ups and the downs (i had a lot of them lol).

You gave me freedom, you gave me love, you gave me friendship, you gave me all the things I wanted, needed, desired.

I feel kinda bad because I gave you so little. Sure I made sure you had enough food, water, company, vets when you needed them and plenty of cuddles.

We went hundreds (maybe thousands) of miles together. We had our arguments, our laughs.

You ate everything I did, from hot dogs to burger rings, you loved scotch, beer, pretty much any alcohol you could get your lips around, but your number one favourite food in the world was mint slice biscuits.

You were never content to be tied up somewhere, especially if I wasn't in view. You also were not a fan of the horse float, and especially bridges should we have to drive under them. I still remember watching you duck your head as we went under them.

We had so much fun together, and after 18 years with you I have the most wonderful memories, though they will never take the pain from my heart. You taught me love, freedom, fairness and that there is good in all things, if only you look for it.

Goodbye my lovely zane, I shall never forget, nor stop missing you.

Run free with your mares in the big great pasture in the sky dear boy.

    Your loving mummy
