    RIP Lady and Dolly

In a matter of two days, our barn family lost two great horses. We are all very close so it was hard to hear. Lady was a 21 year old belgian draft. She came to the barn in very bad shape. She was colicing and in too much pain. The vet had to put her down. Two days later, this morning, we lost Dolly. 15 year old spotted saddle horse. She had apparently been suffering from EPM. She wasn't showing any clinical signs but it was too late. Her spinal cord was compromised. I pray for anyone going through the loss of a horse right now. I understand how difficult it must be.

I encourage everyone to cherish the moments you have with your horses. You never know when their time in this world will be up.

So sorry for your loss. Yep, we do need to cherish the moments we are priviledged to share with our animals.

Not my horses (and not me in the pics), but thanks for the love. They belonged to a boarder
