I had to have Rocky euthanized this morning at University of Illinois' vet medical center. He'd been off for a couple of days and then yesterday he got really bad so we rushed him there. They tried everything, but he wasn't responding to treatment. His intestines were dying and he developed pulminary edemia as well as severe laminitis in all four feet. Surgery wasn't really an option, and I didn't want him to suffer. It all happened so quickly, but the vets said I did everything I could. My heart is broken. He was so special. We had an incredible bond. I don't know what I'll do without him. Anyway, I just wanted to give his memorial to the horse community.
