Affordable Joint Supplement

I just thought that I would share some affordable alternatives that I have found after researching joint supplements for my horse. I was trying to find the best supplement for the best price. I have heard many rave about Cosequin but I simply could not afford to spend over $2/day in joint supplement and I did not feel like the levels of ingredients in the Cosequin reflected its high price tag. So I have combined 3 products to make a supplement that has all the ingredients at levels that I was looking for at a price of only $0.92/day!! On paper this joint supplement is better than any joint supplement available from SmartPak at an extremely affordable price. I have not used it long enough yet to say how effective it is (horse has only been on it a couple days).

Here are the 3 products that I am feeding:
Acti-Flex Powder - $0.59/day
Animed Pure Glucosamine-$0.23/day (feeding 1 teaspoon instead of 1 tablespoon)
MSM- $0.10/day

Here is the list of combined ingredients:
MSM 13,000 mg
Glucosamine HCL 9,167 mg
Glucosamine Sulfate 8,000 mg
Chondroitin Sulfate 4,000 mg
Type II Collagen 3,000 mg
Perna Canaliculus 1,000 mg
Ester C (Ascorbic Acid) 1,000 mg
Manganese 500 mg
Calcium Silicate 250 mg
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) 125 mg
Boswellia Serrata 100 mg

I've had one of my mares on a couple of different joint supplements, and I'm always considering alternatives. Thank you!
