    We get small square bales because we don't have anything to move round bales. I could be wrong because I'm guessing the small bales are around 50 lbs. If they do weigh more, then I'm paying less per ton. We live in ND. If we lived in Texas, we'd be paying at least 3 times the $4/bale.

    I feed beet pulp as one of my sources of forage in the winter. I like the pellets . I'll add beet pulp instead of increasing grain. I have not had any problems feeding it dry.
