Beet Pulp Article!

I know that there has been much talk about this subject as to weather or not you should feed it wet or dry or that it could choke a horse. I don't want to start a whole fight about it and if you than it's not my problem. Anyways this is a really neat article I found on Rick Gore's website. A horse trainer who has many interesting and to the point videos on youtube.

When I had my old horse, she could barely keep any weight on. When the horse ranch started feeding her beet pulp, she started gaining and keeping her weight. When she died, she was the best looking she'd ever been in all my years owning her. Her hair looked healthy, she'd shed almost completely by herself, and she didn't look boney. :)

The horse ranch she was boarded tended to put a tiny bit of apple juice in some of the feeds to coax the horses into eating it so they may keep or gain weight. Princess, luckily, didn't need this coaxing because she was an eating machine, haha.

really interesting article! my vet recomended it for my older gelding to put on weight, and from what I can see, it works pretty well.

and apple juice? that's a really interesting idea, I'm definitley going to that. (:

Interesting article. I have been feeding my horses soaked beet pulp.

Whiskey looooooves beet pulp, especially when it's sloppy and has plenty to slurp. I've also seen in do wonders for underweight horses.
