Corn is technically a grass.

I've given green stalks as a treat. Mine have also demolished my little corn patch in the veggie garden when they have gotten loose before. Probably isn't bad filler for cattle and goats. I can't imagine it has much nutrition.

After the corn is harvested, the stalks are cut and baled just like hay. Not safe for for horses as alot of corn is in the bales and it isn't properly dried so yoy meed to be concerned with mycotoxins. It's typically fed as a filler for cattle. You'll see many more non traditional feed this year due to the drought.
