Does anyone know about this Probiotic?

My vet showed me a new probiotic called "EquiOtic". It is sourced from equine bacteria. I wanted to know if anyone has any history using it.

Never used it and was not able to watch the whole video, but from what I saw looks like good stuff.

I went to their web page.

They are asking $56 for two tubes of the probiotic - $56 for two tubes

They want $84 for FIVE pounds of product for metabolic horses.

For that kind of money, their products should be NASC approved and I don't see the seal anywhere on the website; although I could have missed it. NASC - National Animal Supplement Council

I dunno. I am the first one to step up and say buy products that are pure and free of fillers, even though they cost more money. But this is ridiculous.

This isn't even a pre-probiotic; it's advertised as a probiotic.

My opinion is to keep looking Or if you don't have the time, take a look at Med-Vet Pharmaceutical's probiotic. All their products carry the NASC seal and this is .18 cents per serving.

I buy their products thru United Vet Equine.

I use the Hyalarin/Boswelia and Anti Carb for my metabolic horses; one of which has pretty bad hock/ankle arthritis.

Probiotic V

Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I did the research. I looked at the ingredients. and then compared them to the others. By the numbers they were the only one that had CFU
's in the 10-20 billion range. The other thing I liked was that it was sourced from horse bacteria. I read the support articles. I am going to give it a try. The part I like the most is that none of the others have equine sourced bacteria. Everyone is the same. I am always into new technology.

I went on their website and could not find Equiotic. My vet told me that because of the bacteria being Horse sourced that is critical. Read the research on the website. I was hoping I could save some money with Valley Vet.
