Farnam Vita Plus - does it NEED to be fed in 2 feedings?

Basically, the title says it all.
According to the feeding instructions, the 2oz dose should be fed 1oz per feeding.

Problem: I only feed Lacey once a day.

I could start feeding her twice daily if it's really necessary but she really doesn't need to be fed twice a day since she free feeds hay (so her gut is never empty or anything bad like that). At her single feeding I just restock the free feeding hay, throw some alfalfa at her, and give her 1 pound of "extras" (ration balancer+supplements).

But anyway, is there some reason that the Vita Plus stuff can't be fed in one feeding?

Also, before anyone asks, she's on a ration balancer AND going on the Vita Plus because I'm trying to keep her rain-rot free by VitA-ing it up. Once we get through into the spring and it's drier, she's going off the Vita Plus (unless I've seen results warranting staying on it for some reason).

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

You may want to ask the manufacturer, they'll be your best bet for finding out the reasoning behind the twice daily feeding.
