feeding 2 year old colt

Hello I have taken on a colt that has had a hard winter . he has been with me for about 6 weeks and although he is wormed is just looking a bit under condition for my liking . He is loosing a very thick winter coat and growing . Just looking for ideas for feeding . I feed haylage good quailty not really much grass at the min . Can anyone help . Thanks

I'd feed him a good quality nutritional sup/ration balancer(grain free) along with the haylage. You might want to mix it with some lucerne chaff, beet pulp or such. You might also want to check out FeedXL.com for a great resource on working out what specific horses on specific diets need & what products will provide it.
