Hey Rachel1786 are you talking about that "standlee" compressed bales?(compressed not bagged with the plastic straps?) I was buying those too and they are AWESOME! About when they jacked up the price I found some other alfalfa for 11 bucks a bale and bought 100 bales. I don't think I had a hard time feeding too much, I just split the 40-60lb bale between my 4 guys and that was that. (mine are on 24-7 turn out on 13 acres as well) That Stand Lee hay is really really nice but I can't see paying 17.99 a bale... I just wont do it. I thought at 12.99 I was breaking the bank LOL I went out in the area and found some really nice grass hay for 6.00 a bale and my guys are eating that fine too.

I did end up buying two bales of the compressed stuff...but then I also found some really nice grass hay, so I stocked up on that.
Rachel1786 and WildAcreFarms I can't believe the price is so high! I guess hay shortages drive up prices everywhere!
