Feeding finicky eater in boarding stable

Hi everybody,
I have a 5 y/o working cow horse that is boarding about a half hour from me. Being boarded my choices on feed are limited because they generally only feed supplements once a day and only supply alfalfa hay. With that being said, my horse is on alfalfa 2x a day with unlimited salt and water access. I give her one pound of renew gold daily as well. She gets bored with food very easily and won't eat her renew gold anymore. She was on triple crown in the past and became tired of that too, and I didn't like it anyway. Is there any recommendations? She is in training and is being ridden often, I want her to have a healthy weight and feel and look as good as possible! Thank you!

Why didn't you like the TC? It's one of the best feed brands out there today along with ADM and Buckeye.

The renew gold is a RB. It looks pretty good on the site, but I couldn't find an ingredient list. Do you have one?

Has she been checked for ulcers? Usually going off feed is a good sign.

How much hay is she getting per day in lbs? She should be getting at least 2% of her body weight in hay per day split into multiple feedings.

Rather than "bored" there may be other reasons she goes off of particular feeds, feed types, etc. Is she eager about her hay and only resistant to taking in grains/other feeds?

She gets bored of all food, except carrots usually :) She has been vet checked and is healthy. She was on TC complete and the serving portion was really big to see any results. Renew gold is basically just rice bran and flaxseed :) I'm not sure about the alfalfa I'll have to speak with the BO.
I am thinking about switching her to TC 30 %, pure flaxseed and sunflower seeds and possibly something else but I'm not sure what else I'd need?

I feed my horse TC30% & flaxseed (along with a couple other things) and he does very well on it.

The only negative I can think of is that TC doesn't have a ration balancer formulated for alfalfa hay diets. The excess protein shouldn't pose a problem for an otherwise healthy horse, but the calcium:phosphorous balance might be a bit on the high side.

I wouldn't think the sunflower seeds would be necessary- they are usually used for the same reason as flax (shiny coat & a little extra fat), but are high in omega-6 which is an inflammatory.

Here's the guaranteed analysis & ingredient list for Renew Gold: Renew Gold It doesn't have any vitamins and is VERY low in copper, zinc, etc. I wouldn't consider it a balanced feed- more of a supplement.

My horse gets-
* 1 lb TC30%, split into 2 feedings
* 2 oz flax seed in the evening feed (for the omega-3's, as he doesn't get much fresh grass, especially in winter)
* 20 g iodized table salt, split into 2 feedings (because he doesn't use his block very much)
* 10 g MSM (preventive joint supplement; not sure if it will really make a difference in the long run, but it's cheap)
* 1 scoop Daily Omegas Plus from SmartPak, mostly because I was curious. I'll stop feeding this once I run out as I don't think it's making a difference one way or the other. I might double up on the flax seed when I stop this one.
* 1 lb alfalfa cubes (originally I got these to go into a borrowed Amazing Graze to entertain him in his stall, but found that he LOVES them so even though I don't have the treat dispenser anymore, I still give them to him; I feed them dry right now, but will start soaking them in the summer when I need to hide his awful tasting seasonal allergy medicine)

And ~15-20 lbs of hay a day.

That right there is a great diet :)
