Feeding your horse green tea??

A girl at my barn literally takes green tea out of individual packets and feeds them to her horse mixed in with the rest of the feed. Has anyone ever heard of feeding green tea (or matcha) to their horses? I don't think it'd be bad, since its so healthy for humans and full of anti-oxidants. What do you think?

Green Broke
I have a friend who feeds chamomile tea like that as its a natural anti-inflammatory. I don't know about green tea, though.
