    Do you have access to a mare&foal feed? She is a senior but she's also lactating and needs a higher protein content, otherwise making milk will drain her even more.
    And, could you feed her maybe 3 times a day? And all soaked? And make hay available at all times, a good portion of it being alfalfa?
    The mucus clearing sounds promising.
    I do have a feeling her teeth are NOT okay, tho.....

    Forgot, if you can get the mare&foal feed, give as much as it suggests on the bag plus 20%, since she needs to gain. But up the amount slowly over several days.

    She is on the Nutrena senior feed she won't eat it alone so that's why she's getting the sweet feed also, I'm not sure if they have mare and foal around here but I'll check today when I go to town. She's is starting to pick up a bit she calls to me now when I go out which she hasn't been doing since the colic bout.
