I don't understand the title of this thread - are her ribs showing? You don't have to be a horse person to know if you can see ribs. I just don't understand.

It was a little rude, but I don't understand why you cannot see the ribs yourself.

I can understand being a new horse owner and asking about feed but not can anyone else see ribs? Like we have a different kind of eye ball.

Like I said, I saw that her ribs were showing a bit but I wanted a second view before I got the vet out to exam her.

Now I am asking you nicely, can you please stop being rude.

If you can see her ribs, than I guarantee you so can everybody else.

If it was something that warranted a second opinion, no.

But being that you can see her ribs, then it is obvious that she is underweight and something needs to be done.

I am not sure why you needed a second opinion on that.

And I am doing something.
The vet is coming over in a week or two to exam Teddybear and he is going to go over a diet for her.

Is there an appointment set with the vet? It doesn't sound like it, if he is coming in the next week or two?

Yes, my vet is out of state right now and I don't know when he exactly gets back.
I also have to earn some money to help my mom pay for it, its a required thing.
