    I read that it was safer to feed it raw and whole, as cooking it basically defeats the purpose as it kills the good things in it. I bought human grade brown whole flax seeds from the baking section of a bulk food store.

    For hoof supplements, I use Farriers Formula Double Strength. It's well worth the money and both of my boys are always commended by the farrier at how great their feet are looking compared to just 4 months ago. Love the stuff. I use MSM for joints. Can't help you with coat though, neither of my boys need help in that department.
