Green Broke
Hunger Strike (PSSM Diet Probs)

Baby Girl has been being difficult. She has been on the PSSM low carb/low sugar/high fat diet for 14 days.

For the first couple days, she was okay. She got her cup of grain and half a cup of oil. Twice a day. After a while, she decided she didn't want her afternoon meal. She totally refused this mixture when the oil was increased to one full cup per feeding.

So I got her some alfalfa pellets, soaked them, and mixed them in. She was happy with this for two days before she began refusing her afternoon meal again. She still ate in the mornings, but I suppose she thought she had gotten quite enough, thank you.

I started replacing half her daily fat requirements with rice bran, because it's easier (I hate oil) and maybe she would like it better. No go. For the past couple meals, I've had to spike her food with molasses, which I do NOT want to keep doing.

This is annoying. The vet said she needed a pound of fat daily and ****ed if Baby Girl isn't going to make it hard.

I'm still searching for a less starchy grain. Which is a goose chase. No one carries Ultium or large bags of Omegatin. (These arer the two my vet recommended.) GRRRR.
