The irreponsible, offending neighbor has a wired-up, broken jaw? The clues to my thinking he is the "eating thru a straw for 5 weeks". I know when a jaw is broken and wired liquids are all the injured person can get to "eat" so to speak. I do believe that neighbor has received just what he deserves. I am hoping though that his injury is not related to your being irate with him. However, you are so right in being highly irate with him.
I am so sorry your horses suffered while you were away. I'm sure I know just how you felt when you discovered your horses had not been taken care of as you had anticipated.
