I love beet pulp. I give my horses about 1.5-2 lbs at night soaked inw arm water with there regualr grain ration topped with a few apple treats. Its a good fat supplement and easy for the horses to digest (counts towards there daily forage need) I use it not only for the extra calories but my horses see it as a nice warm treat at night during the winter. They look forward to there dinner.

Okay thanks guys!

Here's what I got:

  • 50lbs of beat pulp is 50lbs of beat pulp, doesn't matter if its shreds or pellets
  • Beat pulp doesn't need to be soaked for 12 hours, and swells faster with warm water
  • Beat pulp shreds and beat pulp pellets have the same nutrition in them.
  • Beat pulp can be mixed with other grains and supplements
  • And beat pulp should be fed by weight not quantity.
I think I'm good on the beat pulp information now.

Thanks again for your help,
Emmi
