mare and foal vs senior?

I know this is an odd question, but my mom picked up some nutrena mare and foal feed at TSC because it was drastically reduced(expiring in a few months). She also picked up some safe choice for the same reason and got our usual senior at reg price. Would it be ok to either mix the mare and foal with the senior or just give the mare and foal to my old skinny gelding? The safe choice will be for her fat horse.

I think it would be safe to do so, but in order to know how much to mix so that you're meeting nutritional needs without wasting feed, I'd definitely look into something like FeedXL.com. You can enter in the specific feed and adjust the levels of each until you reach a good nutritional balance
