Ok so I am new to this, i've never really given grains or anything extra before. I've put my horse on great vet vitamins and I ordered masterfeeds 12% patriot horse feed.
Now I have no clue of the quantity to give the patriot feed. These are the directions:
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
FEED 1/2 TO 1 1/2 KG OF MASTERFEEDS PATRIOT 12% HORSE RATION
TEXTURIZED PER 100 KG OF BODY WEIGHT, ACCORDING TO THE AMOUNT
OF WORK PERFORMED, THE CONDITION OF THE HORSE AND THE QUALITY
OF HAY OR GRASS.
I suck at math and have no idea how to calculate or know how many cups to give. I still have to check how my horse weights but im guessing between 1000-1200 lbs.
I ride my mare 3-4 times a week and it's not like super hard work just pleasure riding and a bit of training. She doesn't need to gain weight, she just needs to gain muscle on her topline and croup.
I hope the information I gave will help determine to calculate how much she needs :)
And I forgot to ask, should I add some canola oil or simply give it to her dry ?
